We are so accustomed to seeing Refrigerated Containers all around us that we rarely stop to think about how they are made or how they function. Reefers have no special requirements beyond a power source to plug in the cooling system and some free space in front of the entrance. Each refrigerated container consists of the following parts:
Constructed from durable steel, the walls of a Refrigerated Container are robust enough to protect the goods inside from the weather or intrusion. The sides are flat and meet at straight angles, giving the container its trademark rectangular look.
To keep the goods that are stored inside Spacewise Reefers secure at all times, the doors are located on one side of the unit and are protected with locks. They are large enough to accommodate bulky pieces of equipment and stacks of boxes on pallets.
Spacewise Loading ramps are constructed from high-quality aluminum; they are designed to greatly simplify the loading and unloading of supplies. It’s possible to drive a trolley over the ramp and inside a Reefer. The ramp can be set up at different angles, depending on the positioning of the Reefer and the equipment used to load it.
Perhaps the most crucial component of a Refrigerated Container, the internal cooling system can maintain temperatures anywhere between -35°c to +30°c (depending on the model). It is energy-efficient and produces negligible noise, allowing deployment within urban areas. Please note the built-in refrigeration system requires a power connection.
To make Reefers more convenient to use around the clock, internal lights are mounted inside each unit. The lights won’t go off even if the power connection is temporarily interrupted, preventing any mishaps that could expose workers to danger.
