WHERE TO PLACE REEFER CONTAINERS AT A MUSIC FESTIVAL

Anyone who has worked at an open-air concert or music festival knows how busy things can get once the visitors start arriving in large numbers. In such a chaotic atmosphere, strategic concerns like the location of storage containers used to keep drinks or other supplies become decisively important. Refrigerated containers are efficient and straightforward to operate in crowded environments, and they can fit into tight spaces with proper planning.

Here are some ideas for the best locations to place a reefer during a large music festival:

Placing Cold Storage Next to the Main Bar

At many music festivals, reefers are used to cool alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks before they are served to the guests. If the cold containers are positioned conveniently close to the serving areas, it should be easier for staff to keep bars well supplied throughout the event. Since containers are mobile and light when empty, it's often possible to place them close to the bar. Depending on the venue's layout, an ideal location can be found where the container doors can be easily opened without disrupting the flow of customers.

Placing Cold Storage Near the Food Stands

Reliable refrigerated storage can be indispensable when you need to serve food on mass; as such, companies working at festivals serving meals and snacks would benefit from leasing cold storage containers on a short-term lease. Again, placing the storage unit near the site where staff will be selling burgers, sandwiches, etc., makes sense. It’s essential to find a position that doesn’t block people from seeing food stands but still allows workers to make a quick resupply run when the stock of items runs low.

When catering is required for artists, it might be impractical to transport cold drinks for the acts from the main storage location. Having a small 10ft reefer located inside or close to the backstage or VIP area allows drinks to stay in cold storage until the performers finish their gig or for fresh food to be served to them during the festival.

Refrigerated containers can also be used to store valuable technical equipment at precise temperatures. Ideally, they should be positioned away from the main thoroughfares, in a place where they can be monitored remotely if needed.
